MicroBin (previously Hastebin) is a feature rich, performant and secure text and file sharing web application, a "paste bin". Imagine cloud storage, but simpler, and with cool features like URL redirection, automatic file expiry, raw file serving support and 3 possible levels of encryption.

A captive portal check is a function performed on mobile devices to determine whether an Internet connection exists and/or is protected by a so-called captive portal. Every time you connect to the Internet via WiFi or LTE, this check, also known as a "connectivity check", is performed. A captive portal can also be a web page, usually displayed on public Wi-Fi networks, that prompts users to log in or accept certain terms of service before they can access the Internet.
The captive portal check on Android devices has so far been done by default via a request to the address "https://gstatic.com/generate_204". The problem is that this request is sent to Google and demonstrably reveals additional information about the user and the device, as the IP address and other data are transmitted. This is a questionable practice, since the connection to a captive portal has nothing to do with Google, and thus there is no need to transmit information to Google.
We offer an alternative connectivity check that does not reveal any information. The server only responds with a HTTP-204 response (HTTP/1.1 204 No Content), which the Android device expects. Download "Captive Portal Controller" from F-Droid or Neostore, follow the instructions and enter "https://connectivitycheck.northernbytes.de/gen_204" in the first line; "http://connectivitycheck.northernbytes.de/gen_204" in the second line, without the quotes. In the third and fourth line I recommend "https://captiveportal.kuketz.de/gen_204" and "https://grapheneos.online/gen_204" as fallback, i.e. for failsafe.
